About Lumia Coaching
Lumia Coaching was co-founded by John Kim and Noelle Cordeaux. John Kim, also known as “The Angry Therapist,” is a well-regarded marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who pioneered the online coaching movement by breaking away from traditional therapy models.

Lumia Online Life Coach Certification Program
Lumia Coaching offers a progressive, two-stage training program designed to meet students wherever they are in their coaching journey.
The certification program begins with Essentials, a foundational 6-month course where students learn core coaching skills, earn their coaching certificate, and can begin applying their skills right after graduation. This stage includes:
- 6 months of live weekly training
- Small group cohorts for personalized learning
- Peer practice coaching
- Business and marketing training, complete with toolkits and templates for success
- Access to a dedicated class coach and monthly coaching mastery sessions with CEO Noelle Cordeaux
- Affinity groups for networking and continued education through the Coaches Café
For those looking to advance their skills and pursue ICF credentials like the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Lumia offers the Signature program.
This second stage focuses on deeper mentorship and ICF core competency training over an additional 3 months. It features:
- 7 hours of group mentoring and three one-on-one mentor coaching sessions
- ICF exam preparation
- Advanced peer coaching and in-house performance evaluations
- Access to 125 educational units required for ICF credentialing and quarterly coaching demos with Noelle Cordeaux
This dual structure ensures that students not only gain foundational coaching knowledge but also receive the support and advanced training needed to succeed in earning prestigious ICF credentials.
