For coaches drawn to deep inner work and whole-person transformation, not all certification programs feel like the right fit. With a background in clinical herbalism, Ariana knew she wanted a methodology that went beyond conventional coaching tools and addressed the psychological, emotional, and spiritual dimensions necessary to create real change.
In this interview, Ariana offers an honest look at her experience with the Psychosynthesis Life Coach & Leadership Certification, including the unexpected personal transformation that came with training and the tangible business results she’s seen since certifying.
What led you to consider getting a coaching certification?
My background was working as a clinical herbalist, often supporting people with physical ailments or imbalances. The pattern that I began to see was that my client’s physical complaints often revealed something psychological, emotional, or spiritual at the root. This is when I sought out a certification that could teach me how to go deeper and approach my clients from a more holistic perspective.

What mattered most to you when choosing a certification program?
Schedule flexibility and accreditation were factors, but the main element for me was the niche alignment and transformational depth.
I wanted a methodology that could create real, lasting change in myself and for my clients. When I found the Psychosynthesis Life Coach and Leadership program, I knew right away it was the right program for me. Budget did not matter. Because the program resonated with me so deeply, I knew I would find a way to pay for it.

Psychosynthesis provides a framework deeper and more expansive than conventional life coaching, which felt essential for facilitating true, soul-centered healing.
The students do the inner work before practicing the skills, which was so powerful and transformative for me. The live, online format offered the necessary balance of structure and flexibility I needed for this commitment.
What helped you decide which certification to pursue?
I found Psychospiritual Institute through my friend, who graduated from the Psychosynthesis Life Coach & Leadership certification program. She told me how amazing it is and how much it changed her life. Then I read through the website, and it spoke to me so, so deeply. The reviews from graduates, all 5-star, validated all that my friend shared with me.
Share your honest experience with the program.
My training at Psychospiritual Institute provided me with a full spectrum and comprehensive understanding of the transpersonal psychology framework called Psychosynthesis. Throughout the program, I learned various tools and techniques that allowed me to support people through integrating psychological limitations, as well as harnessing their full potential and gifts. I also learned a variety of modalities, including guided imagery, somatic, exploration, creating realistic, and expansive goals, and the steps needed to bring those goals into fruition.
Was there anything that surprised you about the certification process?
An unexpected benefit to the training was the deeply transformative growth and healing that I was guided to move through myself. Not only did I learn the skills to be an amazing coach, but I also learned more about myself than I had ever before.
Overall, how have you and/or your coaching practice changed since certification?
Since receiving my certification with Psychospiritual Institute, I have had the confidence and clarity to facilitate work both 1:1 and in group settings with people who walk away with concrete and sustainable positive change. Additionally, Psychospiritual Institute provides ongoing support beyond graduation, as well as business and marketing.
What tangible, measurable results have you seen since certifying?
I have grown my coaching business from a part-time passion project into a full-time, highly fulfilling, and dynamic business.
Do you feel your certification was worth the investment? Why or why not?
Absolutely, it was worth the investment! My goals were met and exceeded. I made back what I invested financially very quickly.
If you could go back, would you choose the same certification again? Why or why not?
Yes. It is life-transforming. All students/graduates’ lives are transformed, the relationships and bonding that happen during the program are life-long, and we get to transform our clients’ lives, which contributes to the positive transformation of the world.

What tips or advice would you give to someone who’s considering getting certified?
Find a program you deeply resonate with. Listen to your intuition. And once you do find the certification program you know with your whole self that it is right, even if the financial commitment feels challenging at first, still sign up for it. There are always ways to make it happen. For example, Psychospiritual Institute has scholarships available (limited, but there are some available). They also offer payment plans and other creative ways to help students pay.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your certification experience?
The staff and instructors at Psychospiritual Institute genuinely care about each and every student and go above and beyond. And when you graduate, you will have experienced deep transformation, have life-long connections with your cohort, support after you graduate, and the confidence to start and/or scale your coaching business.
Conclusion
While every coach certification path is unique, alignment remains a critical factor. When your training reflects your values, preferred methodology, and desired depth of work, it can profoundly shape your growth and impact as a coach.
